To stay relevant, your company and employees must keep learning

AT&T’s CEO recently said, “People who do not spend five to 10 hours a week in online learning will obsolete themselves with the technology.” To beat out that result, AT&T has established a new program offering course work in fields such as digital networking and data science. Both AT&T and Pat Wadors of LinkedIn stress the importance of encouraging a multitude of new skills, whether they seem relevant or not, because their value will inevitably transfer to your work. Additionally, Wadors suggests hiring lifelong learners, providing access to up-to-date learning, and encouraging those who can adapt quickly to stay ahead. (Harvard Business Review, 06.07.2016)
