Facebook recently revealed more flaws in its advertising functions, including overstated estimated reach. The company plans to improve its methodology for sampling and extrapolating audience size—a change that comes after many advertisers reported the figures seemed off. Facebook also plans to update how it reports reactions to live videos and how it counts likes and post shares. Previous advertising improvements include higher accuracy in brand page visit figures and average video views, which had both been inflated.
