Universal Orlando officials recently announced the plans to build its fourth theme park in Florida. This park will be located only a few miles away from its sister parks and is scheduled to be the single-largest investment the company has made in its theme park business. CEO Tom Williams says of the park, “It will build on everything we have done and become the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created. It is an investment in our business, our industry, our team members and our community.”
The property purchased for the park will also include an entertainment center, hotels, shops, restaurants and more. The park is projecting to boost its employment numbers by over 50%, and will increase the taxes paid to the state by hundreds of millions—a perk for the economy as well. (Travel Pulse, 08.01.19)
