Although summer is peak travel season, America’s dominant theme parks do not currently appear to be at their best. Disneyland is experiencing significant attendance declines despite its opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Universal Studios is experiencing operational troubles for its number one new attraction, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Meanwhile, SeaWorld may have put too much faith in its Sesame Street kiddie area revamp. And, Disney World appears to have gone too far with price increases this year. Despite the new promotions and offering deals for guests, it’s been a cruel summer for theme parks. (The Motley Fool, 07.14.19)
