Consumers Want More from Their Loyalty Programs

Consumers are no longer interested in what they can do for their loyalty programs, but what their loyalty programs can do for them. Faster rewards and deeper engagement are just scratching the surface of what consumers are looking for from the loyalty programs they are a part of today. Companies using a “bait and switch” strategy when convincing consumers to choose their loyalty program are going to quickly fade away as consumes have become more in-tune with what the loyalty programs will really do for them. And that isn’t much in the eyes of the consumer. Travelers are demanding better rewards, more innovation and unique experiences from the loyalty programs they take part in. Consider what your company is offering your loyal customers. Is it enough to keep them around for years to come? If not, it might be time to reinvent the wheel. (Skift, 03.01.19)
