Trends in 2019 to Reshape Media

Trends in the media are showing that some advertisers may need to make a change in how they market brands digitally. Among these trends is a stronger emphasis on Instagram than Facebook for ads, plus creating personalized ads to attach to podcasts. In 2018, marketers started to turn their back on Facebook, and it is predicted that those numbers will increase in 2019. Instagram offers two ways for ads to be visible on their platform—through posts and stories. And podcasts, which are making a strong comeback, create a fresh avenue for marketers. However, it is encouraged that personalization in these advertising channels should be a focus. Other trends predicted for 2019 include an increase in advertising-funded video-on-demand, as well as, an increase in eCommerce ads. (Marketing Week, 01.04.19)
