Millennials and News

Millennials, defined as adults ages 21-37, are avid consumers of news, with news media reaching 95% of this demographic. How Millennials are getting this news is also significant, as mobile news becomes more popular. In fact, one-third of Millennials choose digital news as their preferred source of news media. Despite scoring low on cable news consumption, Millennials are “dramatically influenced to tune in to TV during breaking news moments, even more so than adults 38 and older.” Millennials show that they do consume news as much as older generations, however, they are in different formats than before.
