Hotel Room Service Becoming Thing of the Past

Hotel room service menus are pricey, and guests are turning to less expensive dining options, especially with the ease of ordering online. Because in-hotel dining is also costly, hoteliers are reinventing room service with “restaurant delivery as amenity”—partnering with local restaurants to offer in-room menus. Hotels offer menu items at the same price as the restaurant would, resulting in lower expenses for both guests and hoteliers.
