New Measures Proposed for U.S. Tourism

The Visit U.S. Coalition, a group of leading travel trade organization leaders, rolled out their proposals aimed at reversing the decline in inbound international travelers to the United States. Visit U.S. is urging leaders in D.C. to promote the U.S. as a destination and actively welcome visitors. Proposed measures include supporting marketing efforts and designating a senior government official to focus on tourism. Visit U.S. also wants to make it easier for residents of certain countries to enter the U.S. through visa waiver programs and other measures. (Washington Post, 2.28.18)
