Instagram Stories Drive App Downloads

Advertisers are taking advantage of Instagram Stories in order to increase app downloads—and their revenue. For example, the app Hopper has found so much success in Stories, that those are the only ads it buys now. Hopper found that conversions were also higher through Stories – three times higher versus those in feed. The cost to purchase ads on Stories is relatively low, despite the amount of competition. The shift to popularity in Stories has also led to a change in ads, with these short videos becoming more fast-paced and creative in order to hold the user’s attention. (Digiday, 11.12.18)
