Walt Disney World has announced a new date-based pricing plan, a shift from the former three-tier pricing structure. This new plan adjusts the ticket price based on the first day of use, meaning the ticket price could be less expensive if used on a day with lower park attendance. For peak attendance days, though, ticket prices have seen an increase of up to 15%. The variable-priced ticket plan is designed to provide incentive to guests that attend on lower attendance days and improve efficiency of the parks, lessening the chance of having to operate at boom and bust capacity.
