Summer Vacation Blues

A new poll by the Associated Press found that nearly half of Americans aren’t planning on taking a vacation this summer. Half of non-vacationers cited cost as the top reason for skipping a trip, while 11% said they can’t take the time off of work. While most workers use at least some of their paid time off, only half reported they use all of their time off in a year. The study also found that most Americans would take a less luxurious vacation for a longer trip, rather than a shorter but more luxurious vacation. (NBC News, 6.15.17)
